The LRV was designed to clear obstacles. It was not necessary to avoid them.
Where is White's computation to show that the crater is "three or four feet deep"? Where is his evidence that the LRV drove through the deepest part of the crater and not just across the rim?
White has argued that this LRV manuever violated its operating parameters, but he provides no quantitative evidence. It's pure supposition.

This pic is not a good example of anything suspicious - the tracks are still seen going in and out of the crater. And the green area could be a hole created by the buggy going deeper until the left side tires made contact with the bottom of the crater.

The picture is taken on the side of Mount Hadley Delta and the astronauts at times had trouble keeping the rover in one spot due to the slope, so they sometimes parked it with the uphill wheels in a crater. Doing this had the added bonus of making life easier for Ed Fendall when he panned the TV camera.
