Do you believe that the Space Shuttle really works, or do you think it's a hoax too? I think it's a hoax. Take a look at this website: www.boeing.com/defense-space/space/propul/SSMEamaz.html That website claims that the fuel that the shuttle's engines use is -453 degrees Fahrenheit! Where do they store something like that? If they store it in tanks it would freeze the tanks solid and they would break like glass! That website also says that the engine exhaust is 6000 degrees Fahrenheit!! The website says that's hot enough to melt metal. Oh yeah? Well what are the engines made of? Metal!! Why don't the engines melt then?? It's simply not believable to me that any of this could work, and if you believe that the shuttle is real, and not a hoax, I'd like to see you prove it to me.

Great question. I am going to spend today completing my space suit submission and I will come back to this when I am done. Please be patient. Thanks for your question.

You said over in the space suit thread that you were finished. So now can I have an answer? You don't have to research it, just give me a quick answer off the top of your hollow head.

If this guy is not considered to be a troll then what is he..? You're not only a troll you're a proven liar, tofu. Go get your moon man buddy to confirm on this board that he's willing to take a lie detector test. And where in the space suit thread did I say I was finished drafting my submission, you liar..?

And where in the space suit thread did I say I was finished drafting my submission, you liar..? Where did I say that you were finished drafting it? What I said was that you were finished. Here is what you said: "there is is really not much point in continuing" So, since your finished over there answer this simple question: Do you believe that the shuttle is a hoax? Yes or No ok. He's standing right here. I'm going to get up from the desk and let him sit down and type… hello moon man. Ken here. Hello. Ha ha, Im new to the internets so ill be quick. Send the money you promised to pay for the test and I'll take it and send you the result ok thanks. Have a good day buddy, I'm going to put tofu back on now. Thanks Ken. Let me know when MoonMan sends that money. Bye

Mister Moon Man, why are you spending this much time on bickering instead of finishing your space suits draft?

When it's been confirmed that I'm not going to be banned I will finish it. Notice how tofu lies..? Notice how he trolls..? Notice how he takes things out of context and trolls some more..?
Tofu, I can see your blood boiling. I'm going to make it boil some more by never answering another message you post. Good fun!

LunarOrbit, I suggest you delete some of these pointless bickering threads in order not to clutter the board up with drivel. I mean gimme a break

Mr Moon Man,
This has nothing to do with batteries or suit zippers or anything else that may be a technical matter, so do NOT try and railroad it in that direction.
This is a very simple question, requiring a simple - not a long winded or complex - answer. A Yes or No answer will suffice. If I require additional information, I'll ask you further questions as to the circumstances that led to the formulation of your reply.
You were given the postal address of Mr Ken Mattingly, former astronaut with NASA and the Command Module Pilot on Apollo 16.
Are you or are you not going to write to him at the address provided, within the next 90 days from the time of this post, offering Mr Mattingly the opportunity to take a 'lie detector' test at your expense?
Yes or No will suffice.

Gentlemen, chill.
tofu, that was an ad hominem - there was no need for it.
Moon Man, why don't we put aside the first few posts. I myself would like to know if you think the Space Shuttle really works, or is a hoax. Did you know that NASA documents back from around 1980 claim a Shuttle flight rate of 160 flights per year, but even before the post-Columbia standdown there were only a few flights per year? Does that make you think it's a hoax, i.e., that the Shuttle doesn't actually go into orbit? Did you know that the Shuttles originally flew without semiconductor memory in their computers? (The memory chips in your computer are semiconductor chips.) Does that make you think it's a hoax?
I'd be interested in your off-the-top-of-your-head answer, followed by your detailed response whenever convenient.

Okay, tofu: I'm saying this as a person who understands...
get off this. Move on. Read a book. Read a comic. Watch a movie. Read other threads. You seem to be A) stressing yourself out a bit, and B) just acting darn childish.
Also, as for the Mattingly situation, please do not toy with such a claim. I do not know if you know Ken Mattingly or not, but I'm not going to assume you were lying about that. However, this is not the time to start lying about anything, or just "Pulling a joke".
If anyone really wants any artillery, I seriously can contact my neighbor and ask him to put me in contact with astronauts that he's trained in Navy-related issues... or however he met them (I really didn't ask).

I'm not stressed out! This is good fun! I suppose you're right about my behavior, but really, who is more foolish - someone like me who baits a troll, or someone who wastes time taking him seriously? Take a look at my posts on this one page: www.bautforum.com/showthread.php?t=34711&page=7For example: That's me treating him with some respect. What did that get me? What has it gotten any of you? At this point, why not have a little fun with him? What is the harm? Surely there's no more harm in poking fun at him than there is in allowing him to spew his nonsense all over this forum. You're right, I do not know Ken Mattingly. I said that I did in order to call his bluff. It went like this: MoonMan: astronaut's are all lyars. I will pay with money for a lie decktor test!!!111 Me: okay, here you go, pay for a test. MoonMan: um, uh, well, I need a phone number. And CNN has to be there two!!

tofu, you do realize that this does effect the reputation of us skeptics? While I appreciate why you did what you did, lying about knowing Mattingly was not really justifiable. Hoax Believers usually have to stretch the truth to try to show us to be "liars"... it makes it easier for them to try to point fingers at a false trend.

Yes or No will suffice. Please. A post office number asking for money was posted on BAUT board. Prove it's his address..? A lie detector test costs alot more then 250 $ to have administered. Since he's willing to take a lie detector test why doesn't he go public with this great news..? No, I will not be writing him to that address.
