Hi, gorgonian. Welcome to the Apollo subforum. The shutout continues. Nine "lurkers and viewers" have responded with judgments about rocky's claims, and every one of them thinks they're bogus. Ok, it's 9-0. I think the mercy rule would be appropriate at this point.

The mercy rule takes effect with a 10-run lead after the 7th inning. We're not there yet.
In any case, I don't mind the thread staying open, or even stickied for a while. I think it is rather informative. rocky said the "lurkers and viewers" are "watching and judging" - clearly an implicit claim that observers who weren't already here arguing against him would look at his "evidence" and agree with his claims.
Of course, the natural thing to do was to conduct an experiment to test that claim. But rocky, as usual, avoided doing an actual experiment. (They can require more work than looking up YouTube videos, and have the nasty habit of providing answers which might not agree with one's preconceptions.) No problem; we're used to doing the work for people like rocky, so I started the experiment for him.
The results are unambiguous. Nine out of nine "lurkers and viewers" have judged rocky's claims to be without merit, many taking particular note of the lack of knowledge and research behind them, and several actually calling rocky's mental health into question. That's a serious whuppin'.

Not to mention the fact that I challenged Rocky to bring his own "friends" here that he convinced by his "evidence"......his reply? Crickets chirping.

Rocky has already written off all the recent de-lurkings as "our friends." As I said, when one has committed to a course of belief in which inconvenient facts can be sidestepped by mere conjecture, there is no limit to what one can purport to have proven.

It's OK; no one really expects anything out of rocky/david other then knee-jerk, evidence-free denial. When I say this thread is "instructive", I mean it's instructive for the "lurkers and viewers", those who come here with curiosity about the Apollo hoax claims.

Yes, this forum has seen its share of thoughtful (if still wrong) conspiracists in the past, but heavenlybody and rocky are not among them. As you've already acknowledged, Rocky has pretty much exhausted his arguments on the LRV plume and is simply repeating his claims over and over while accusing everyone of being paid disinformationists.

I have yet to see a coherent or compelling argument from rocky. I don't know if I count as a lurker, but I hope my contribution to this thread qualifies it for the mercy rule.

Sorry. The official scorer has ruled you not to be a "lurker or viewer".
The score remains 9-0 against rocky. He invoked the silent majority of clear-eyed, objective truth-seekers, and it backfired on him: they showed up and, much to his chagrin, actually looked at his claims objectively.

Rocky's posings in this and other threads are exactly the same re-heated postings from other forums (fora?). Perhaps the pips need to squeak a little yet? edit: I said 'posings', and meant 'postings' , but perhaps sometimes the subconscious is more astute than is usually realised...

I'm thinking of changing my mind just to make it interesting. Has anyone ever played a game where you get 'skunked' ? For instance, in 301 darts I can 'skunk' an opponent if I can double out and win the game before he doubles in. You have to have a REALLY BAD game of darts to be skunked.
Rocky is having a REALLY BAD game right now.

Rocky keeps hitting the oard, unfortunately he hasn't realisesd he is on the mad'ouse (3 to finish) and is playing with arrows with different weights and flights
(but thats ok, maths, rules, mass drag coeff. and velocity don't matter as long as the dart was thrown with common sense regardless as long as it hits the board aim and intended target are irrelevant any objective person would allow for what he was actually aiming for)
Ooooh you could have won a speedboat

Wouldn't it be interesting to try playing a game of darts on the Moon? Low gravity, and no aerodynamics to stabilize the flight of the dart.
Just don't hit your partner with the pointy end.
*imagines a game of lunar lawn darts*
