Inconceivable: What hoax? There isn't one. There's just a bunch of people who, in their ignorance, think there was a hoax.
Have you watched the spectacular 2007 documentary movie, "In the Shadow of the Moon"? It's on DVD. When the credits roll at the end, you can watch and hear five men who went to the moon (four of whom walked on it) comment on the allegations of a hoax. Those men, with their ages at 1 January 2007, are,
Captain Alan Bean, USN (Ret.) — 74
Captain Eugene Cernan, USN (Ret.) — 72
Brigadier General Michael Collins, USAF (Ret.) — 76
Brigadier General Charles Duke, USAF (Ret.) — 71
Colonel David Scott, USAF (Ret.) — 74
They speak about their experiences throughout the movie and are visible at various ages, so you get the opportunity to judge for yourself whether they are speaking truthfully.
The credits begin at 1:33:18, or 2 minutes 22 seconds from the end. Here's what they say, generally with amazed, amused or quizzical looks on their faces:
1:33:37 Al Bean: You know, some of the tabloids are saying that we did this in a hangar in Arizona. [Laughs] Maybe that would have been a good idea.
1:33:46 Mike Collins: I don't know how I would… grab someone by the collar who didn't believe and shake them and somehow change their mind.
1:33:52 Dave Scott: Any significant event in history, somebody's had a conspiracy theory one way or the other.
1:33:57 Mike Collins: I don't know two Americans who have a fantastic secret without one of them blurting it out to the press. Can you imagine thousands of people able to keep this secret?
1:34:07 Charlie Duke: We've been to the moon nine times. I mean, why did we fake it nine times, [looking incredulous] if we faked it?
1:34:16 Gene Cernan: Truth needs no defence. Nobody, nobody [shakes finger] can ever take the footsteps I made on the surface of the moon away from me.
By the way, what does the ">3 112,.e4" at the end of your post mean? If these are some figures that familiar to Americans, please remember that the internet audience is international.
