BTW - the Aztek 270 failed a week ago so I began to use the Badger 155 Anthem.
Why oh why did I ever use the Aztek? After a short time practicing with ink, I can now airbrush with precision. Thin lines, graduated shades, all can be done.
My advice to any newbie will be go to a dual action, internal mix airbrush unless you just want to do large area, non-precision airbrushing... in which case you should just buy a spray can of the colours you need!
Edited to add: Oh, the compressor with a regulator is great. The Anthem is good over a 15 - 50 PSI range (recommended 30 PSI) but I dropped the pressure down to 20 PSI for the initial work. The air compressor I bought (AS185) has poor instructions but has run well, quietly and without a problem.

These are great image resources and should help with my models too. Not to hijack Obviousman's thread, but I started a blog about my modelling efforts: jasont1979.livejournal.com/

Hijack away. I'm happy for people to discuss spacecraft modeling or techniques, little bits of info regarding some detail, etc.
I'm learning from your blog - I'm terrible at filling / sanding!

Just discovered there are actually two versions of the 1:48 lunar module model by Revell/Monogram. The one I have is not the one the New Ware kit was designed for. Damn. Going to have to do a LOT more modification on it when I get round to building it.
