Canada is building our own spaceport in Nova Scotia and our space craft is much nicer than NASA's current stuff. We will be flying in 2010 and we will beat America to the moon. It's a shorter flight to the moon from Canada than it is from Floriduh. Launching to the ISS would be more efficient from up in Canada...but Canada closer to the Moon...cute. Incidently, Canada does have a beauty of a sounding rocket in the Black Brant series...and they did build the arms that are doing wonderfully up there as we speak. We not only built the arms but also the camera system to scan the entire shuttle. We did that in 3 years after Columbia failure. NASA couldn't even get the tiles to stay glued on in 3 years.

This is the real deal, friend. Do you know, that looks exactly like the GI Joe plane a friend of mine has? There is a passing similarity...

Scaled composites did a suborbital flight for under 10 million USD. Doesn't mean they're going to the moon any time soon.

As long as we get there before you we'll own it.

As long as we get there before you we'll own it. Unless NASA brings a canadian along with them, you won't get there before anyone. Don't let your national pride blind you, they have no moon plans and are just beginning to build the basic infrastructure to launch to LEO. Maybe in a few years they'll be able to launch a satellite or send some thrillseekers on a suborbital hop.

At the rate NASA operates Canaduh will be on mars and NASA will just be getting the tiles glued on right.
We're world leaders; not followers.
Remember William Shatner?
To boldly go where no man has gone before...
William is a Canadian. A bad dancer but still a Canuck

I'm sure they could have a space program if they wanted to pay for it, but come on. Nobody really thinks the way moonman talks.

Dude, I posted the links. We're building the port as we speak. Their headquarters moved from London Ontario to Nova Scotia.

Yes, but Canada isn't going to beat anyone to the Moon or Mars. The CSA will more than likely cooperate with NASA on the new Lunar missions/Lunar base stuff, but there's no way we'll be able to do it on our own.
Oh and none of the Shuttles have had issues with there tiles falling off. It was the foam on the fuel tank that hit a tile... big difference.

I like the point at the front for landing, and the cladding of Cavorite tiles. Ka-ching! Keep an eye out for MoonMan... Oh-

Dude, like for reals. Like, Canadia is l33t or something. Canada is teh hax0rz. NASA is teh ghey.
Nobody thinks that Canada is a world leader. Canada is like VH1. A pale doppleganger if you will. I'm sure a space agency with no actual space flights will surpass a much bigger agency with 40 years of space experience no sweat. A Moon Man can dream can't he?

reynoldbot, as a Canadian, well... I totally agree with you. I hearby ask no one stereotype all Canadians to Moon Man's behaviour and thinking. Seriously, there are not that many like him up here....

Nobody thinks that Canada is a world leader. Well, not completely true. If I recall correctly, Canada topped out the UN Human Development Index eight years running. It sank to #6 in 2006 though. . .

I can think of worse folks to have on my northern border. I spent a year up on the old DEW line. The Canadians I met and worked with in many NORAD years were quite competent. ...now, I haven't met Moon Man...I think I'd remember him...
Meanwhile, the Canada-arms are doing a helluva job. Thanky, Canuks!
