So Arab writers tried to explain the Pyramids with magic. People still do so today, doesn't mean they are right.
Some people just make things up
Funny when the quarries that the stones were cut from are nearby.
He doesn't explain how you cast limestone either.

Different hoaxers think diferent things are evidence it was a fake, whhen they are shown that they are wrong they grab a different bit of evidence and claim that shows it was fake, or they ignore the evidence and carry on making claims. A lot of hoaxers believe things that are mutualy contradictory if they were all to be true, that doesn't put them off.

I was in the RN in the 80s, I participated first hand in the Cold War on AS patrols in the North Atlantic. Several times we came face to face with Soviet ships. That's the problem with the idea of the Cold War as a phony war, it only works if everyone is in the know, otherwise it could go hot because those on the frontlines are doing their jobs for real. And yet if everyone is in the know how could you keep it a secret? It's a paradox that never seems to bother HB's. Quite right, NATO tracked all the Russian Subs that came intothe Atlantic or Pacific. We had Nuclear Depth Charges (Special Weapons) aboard (or did we wink, wink) ready to drop from our helicoptere onto them, Limbo AS Mortars ready to rain down a trio of depth charges, Guided torpedos in the tubes all ready tofire.

Funny thing, I have a colleague who was quite literally on the front lines of the Cold War, he spent quite a bit of the 1980's stationed in the Soviet side of Berlin with the British Army's BRIXMIS Program acting as an observer in East Germany, right up until 1990 when it disbanded. I had never heard of BRIXMIS until this mention, so I went to read about it. Amazing what you can learn from discussions about Apollo hoax theories! It's just that none of what you learn ever seems to come from the conspiracy theorists themselves... How does a list of material and equipment sent to Russia in WW2 show that Eisenhower sanctioned 'shipments of materials to build the atom bomb to Stalin during the Second World War'? He was Supreme Commander of the Allied forces in Europe in WW2, surely it would have been the President who would have sanctioned it? Everything on your list is the stuff you wuld expect to send to help the industry of an ally at war. It's all standard engineering stuff including the Uranium, it has uses other than atomic weapons and you need a heck of a lot more than a few pounds of it to produce one, plus it has to be enriched etc, but you already know that. It is known how the Soviets got their first bomb, they had Spies at Los Alamos that helped them.

What about the Core Samples? Did they come from the Antarctic? It's not that the Antarctic has more Lunar Meteorites than anywhere else it's that they are easier to find because of the conditions there.

Just maybe the people involved are well trained professionals who know what they are doing?

That's inflation for you.
Remember like Apollo that money wasn't just burned. It went to pay wages either directly or indirectly.

Malta had lots of underground passages and chambers dug in the War. They were used by British Forces and civilians on the island as shelters from Italian and German air raids. Some were used as ammo and stores dumps. Some were underground workshops for aircraft and vehicles. I would think a lot of them are in an unsafe condition by now.

Really OT but I can highly recommend a Wacom Cintiq. Tell your friend it's a bigger jump in feel and quality than going from a mouse to a tablet. I can't stand to use an ordinary tablet now. Kingsley Cards were starting to use those when I left, they are good.

I have a friend who went through Central St Martins to get his Fine Art degree. He makes a living painting artwork onto Leather jackets, Helmets and Bike Tanks. He also takes commissions as an Illustrator. For this work he used to use pencils, pens, acrylics and gouache, airbrush etc. Now he does everything on a Mac using a Wacom Tablet, Adobe Illustrator and most importantly Corel Painter. Painter lets him use 'real' materials on the computer. I used to work for a company called 'Kingsley cards' They had a studio full of illustrators all using Macs, tablets and Painter. Although they are all capable of producing amazing work in 'real' materials the Macs let them correct and modfy their work without having to start rom scratch, it saves a lot of time and cost. But as jay points out they wouldn't be able to do it if they didn't have the skills with pencil and brush in the first place.

Not surprising. I spent 2 hours a week for 5 years through school doing 'Technical and Engineering Drawing' It was a compulsory subject. All the Parallel projections like , Isometric, Dimetric, trimetric. perspective projections. And the techniques for projecting Conic Sections, Manifolds and so on. Before CAD became widespread all the engineering companies had armies of Draughtsmen. One of my friends went to Kvearner Engineering, they were building Oil Rigs at the time (Early 80s) His first job was to draw bolt heads and nuts onto plans, he spent months drawing thousands of them.

all Mod action is recorded for all to see. I cannot agree with that. I see you previously posted that you were also banned as a spammer after only one post, it may be thet you also were thevictim of some over zealous ant SMAP measures. PM me here with your logon name for BAUT and I will investigate.

Porphyry, Can you point to any poster on BAUT who was banned for hisopinions on Apollo?
Over the last few days several posters were banned for serious breaches of BAUT Rules. They created 'Sock Puppet' accounts to either support their own positions or get round suspensions for other rule breaches. In the two 'active' Moonhoax threads posters on both sides of the fence were warned and were on the receiving end of Mod action for their language and actions in the threads.
Our rules are laid out clearly ad all Mod action is recorded for all to see. We have several mechanisms for reporting and acting on bad behavior.
