If this were an episode of B5, the argument would be Green v Purple ... and there would be violence. I voted orange ... the blue just doesn't look like AH, and as others have pointed out, most forums have lazy designers who stick with the default blue theme. I always figured this place had more class than that.

Well I set my profile to blue, so it doesn't worry me which wins, really it's just a case of the banner colour (which won't appear at home for some reason) and what non-logged in lurkers see that is being voted on.

Just the banner colour? Oh, keep it orange. Never mind anything I said before, forget about it. Oops. Blue is bad. ;D
EDIT: I've been brainwashed by the Blue team. I feel so ashamed. LO, I want to change my vote to Orange. The Banner Colour Must Remain Orange!

I've got the early edition of tomorrows paper: This seems like one of those infamous election blunders. As of 7:00 Central time, orange is two votes ahead. I guess we have to just ride it out till the bitter end!

Well, it's February 1st in my time zone, and it looks like the orange party has won. I'm kind of glad because orange has become associated with the site and it is more unique. Besides, changing colours during a time of war would only encourage our enemies. I hope those of you who voted blue will be able to accept defeat. It was a close vote and you should take pride in the quality of your campaign. And don't forget: it's only four more years until the next site redesign election.

Glad to see my colour won. Wouldn't want it any other way. ;D If only we could get some of the more extreme HBs to do a similar about-face ... that would make us all feel better!

Glad to see Orange prevail in the face of dirty politics and mudslinging. Hurrah!

I'm sure that the ruling Orange party will be gracious in its triumph.

I tend to vote blue in real life and I did the same thing here. Still, I have to admit that orange looks good

LO, are you trying to stifle my creativity? I downloaded the front Apollohoax.net page to have some fun with in Komposer. I got a message: "This page cannot be edited for some reason" Thats verbatim. What is the reason? Is there now a conspiracy to stop me from posting my ridiculous graphical joke images? Just because Blue poured water into my eyes? It was torture, darnit! And then a blue pill was slipped into my tea.

The front page of the site uses PHP coding, it's not just plain HTML so working with it offline is not possible on a typical home PC. If you want a copy to play with I can make you one that doesn't use PHP.
