I think if you are really lucky you might discover that the maker of these is now a regular poster here.

i remember telling Jay about the 'The Smoking Gun of Bart's "Smoking Gun" Footage' .that i saw on the JREF forum ... Did that get circulated over there? Good. The weather maps and Lunar Legacy's showing the Earth rotating during the broadcast make a great 1-2 punch. My favorite part of Lunar Legacy is the bit where svector speeds up the film of Armstong & Aldrin working around the non-moving flag. Someone pointed out that if you click on the slider and run that bit back & forth really fast, you can see that the shadow of the flag is getting shorter as the sun rises. That ain't no studio light!

you can see that the shadow of the flag is getting shorter as the sun rises. Ditto the LM's shadow.

Comes as no surprise, many HBs love to badmouth Svector. I guess it's because he's one of the few that has taken time to proviide rebuttals to HB junk videos.

Or, according to some, two regular posters here. Yes, but I save all the witty comebacks for my other account.

Comes as no surprise, many HBs love to badmouth Svector. If they weren't saying nasty things about me, I'd be a little concerned. As long as the tirades continue, I know I have their attention. BTW I don't mean to hijack, but since we're on the topic of Apollo documentaries, I saw In the Shadow of the Moon in a local theater a few nights ago with my daughter. Absolutely amazing, for anyone who hasn't seen it yet. It was being shown several weeks back and I regretfully missed it. They reran it this week and I raced right down. One of the elements that impressed me was the extremely intimate manner in which the astronauts were interviewed. Their faces literally filled the screen from top to bottom, so that every subtle expression could easily be noticed. It struck me that these were brave, honorable men, simply recounting their memories from a bygone era. They weren't "actors" perpetuating a lie. I challenge any HB to watch this film, and come away with the sense that the astronauts were being anything but 100% truthful. Great film. They even touched on the hoax issue a bit during the credits, which was hilarious.

"Cheer up!" they said, "It could be worse!" So I did, and it was.

Hello everyone. I'm new here and have a question concerning part three of the videos mentioned at the beginning of this thread.
First off, just as an FYI, I am a dedicated fan of the space program and am a believer in the authenticity of the Apollo program.
Something however made me raise an eyebrow, and it's probably not even something that is of huge importance. But, in the segment where Dr. Van Allen is quoted and his words are spoken on the segment, the voice sounds decidely synthesized. Certain word prouniciations are odd, and I was wondering if this was just me, if he uses some form of device to assist in speaking, or if his words were simply synthesized for the documentary.

As the narration is all synthesized, I assume that the Van Allen quote was merely done with a different synthesizer voice to make the passage distinct -- it is not any kind of a recording of Van Allen himself.

Van Allen's original statement was made in writing, not spoken. Hence any reading of it will be in a voice other than Van Allen's.

It came as a surprise to me, but the single most popular topic of discussion about my video seems to be my synthetic narrator. I was really hoping viewers would want to discuss the issues raised, but it seems they are more captivated by Phil 01101001's vocal inflections. I'm hoping Sticks will agree to help me overcome this embarrassing distraction with any future projects, by donating his considerable narrating talents.
