I have looked at the book (HFS)& you havent... Unless your book can convincingly explain why established aerodynamical theory is all wrong, then it makes no difference...your belief that the book is "correct" changes nothing. Why is it so hard for you to understand that the "saucer shape" is simply not a viable alternative to the traditional aircraft wing?

RAF, you just don't like me, do you? Just because I disagree with "most" of your opinions? It might look that way because I don't post when I agree with you (and that has happened.) But, no...you're not going to be able to use that as an "excuse".

I said that she is only nationally prominent because of who she was married to... You keep saying that. Too bad you havn't provided a convincing argument for it. Just because that is what you believe doesn't mean it is what others believe. You do understand that, right? So you simply cannot understand why she would be a role model except for who she's married to? Does anyone else see that as sexist??

At least McCain was himself a war hero, not the spouse of one, and at least Barack is himself black. How does being a war hero or being black qualify that person to be president?

...but she wouldn't be in the position she is. ...and Obama wouldn't be "in the position he is" if he wasn't black, and Mccain wouldn't be "in the position he is" if he hadn't been a "war hero". Point is, if you really are looking for "excuses" (as you seem to be doing), then you most certainly will "find" them... so what??

Recently I've seen in stores combination turntable/CD recorders, costing about 300 dollars.

I saw your point, I just didn't see much point in commenting on it. That you would avoid discussing the irrational comparison made by you is completely understandable.

Since you chose to completely miss my point, let me hammer it home for you...
It scares the crap out of me that a man who could be president could be so easily confused about things that directly relate to the security of this country.
On the other hand, it doesn't matter at all that you are confused about world affairs as you have zero effect on them.
See the difference??

Hey, I could get those two confused too. Do you really not understand the difference between a presidential candidate being "confused" and you being confused??

Heck, hearing that the US tortures makes me angry. It makes me very angry since there was no mandate from the people to authorize torture of any kind. We used to be able to hold our heads high and say "we don't torture prisoners, because torture is wrong". It DID give us the moral superiority over our enemies. That we can no longer say that, sickens me.

Pelosi was there, she did not object, and at least two lawmakers there pushed for more and she didn't object either, assuming she wasn't one of those two. Given that, doesn't her later condemnatin of the technique strike you as the slightest bit hypocritical? Not as hypocritical as those who would refuse others rights in the name of religion, then turn around and applaud torture.

Darn!! Here I was expecting MarsRevealer to have gotten himself banned by now, and I can't check to see. If it's a server issue, then there's no way to tell when it'll be back up.

A couple of days off line is really nothing to get too upset about. One time on the old BABB board, I was unable to gain access for 18 days straight.
A few days is really a minor inconvenience.
