As an Atheist I shouldn't bother, but if I had to have a god thrust upon me, It would certainly be a Pantheon of individuals that had acquired the earth from others of which they have no firm knowledge of exactly what was there or how a whole cloth was spun, apart from one or two major forces that still might threaten them, Personally Assisting Squabbling Fighting Favouring as each of their own needs require, and communing with one and all on an interpersonal nature assisting lesser and greater beings either for personal material gain or internal altruism So I suppose my ideal system would be a world of individuals each with no real physical Uber Power apart from those that could be gained through training and in touch with the physical world of reality, Sort of like the Human Race then

news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/world/south_asia/6264014.stmNice to see that a little thing like promoting a documentary, can strip a living Deity of their Godhood. I wonder if there is a sliding scale of countries to visit or actions that can result in different levels of punishment No Prayers for a week No Major Miracles to be performed Cleaning up the Firmament Removal of Retribution rights P45 I would love to see that on a CV, well up until 16 I was a living embodiment of a Goddess, I feel my skills would be best placed either in a similar position or possibly a Call Centre Operative.

I think the Furry Lobster* is a groovy Critter.
I've always liked Starfish Jellyfish and octopussies, as they can be hoopy as well.
I think we probably know more about Space and Stellar evolution than we do about our own oceans,
*I always just thought that was a metaphor, or was that a furry clam, who knows both amazing

(Tries to avoid further thread divergence)
ahh now that would make more for a Roman case, fancy trying to ask people not to want to perform the enjoyable basic human right of taxation (even if the prosecution misrepresented the case).
I think however Pilate if given a little more time, might have preferred a new socialist (*using term weakly) representative if allowed to choose one, well apart from the unionisation of the lepers, under the slogan Alms for lepers (or disarm today, Datarm tomorrow), the increased status of many more peoples under the title of artisan would have increased tax revenues.
I don't know much about the history of Pilate but unless this was a bone he was throwing to the province seems a pretty poor choice for representative.

I thought the only Roman crime was equivalent to affray or a public order offense, and the acts of sedition/heresy were a provincial claim as he was claiming to be the son of a God of which the Romans weren't concerned with. (granted I am not exactly a biblical scholar)
I think the fundies would have had him stoned

I also have no problems in believing that Jesus existed, and was crucified (by whatever method, but Wrists and a single pin though the ankles sounds best, knowing the Romans there probably is a tax record or court record. although as it wasn't a Roman Crime I don't know how that would have been recorded)
it's the whole son of God thing that sort of bums the story out, well that and the Roman massageing of any possible history to fit the existing Pagan mythos and the picking and choosing of the Heresies to make a comfortable religion.
I wonder if the ickeman and others would have proclaimed themselves son/daughter of god if there was a chance of earning themself a McJeebus Happy Death.

He did sick genetic experiments with them, splicing the base pair sequences with dactyl animals and Trees and inventing, Fish Fingers, and Fish Sticks,
Think about all the poor jelly fish and other Osmotic animals that much fresh water would have popped them, the surface could have looked like a giant Seafood flavoured bowl of Ramen. (mmmm Ramen, Food, Beer)
*Getting sidetracked now, going to have to drink beer and treat myself to a parmo on the way home.

It's all very simple really,
It was a actually a time traveling Ark, with Cryogenic DNA storage.
He Just took on DNA extracts of basic Plant and Animal Life, The Least specialised example of the most primitive life and stored the genes stock, then to kill 2 birds with 1 stone and confuse us poor scientist , Traveled back in time, planted a fake fossil record, and then forward again, found a dry patch, and with the help of an external Alien/Deity, accelerated the evolutionary process creating the diverse biosphere we know today.
This solves all the problems with Volume Buoyancy, and requirements for food and waste management, and Species segregation.
as to the stability of a Large single beamed ship, the records are incorrect it was actually just a very roomy monocoque carbon fibre catamaran, the primitive bulky structure was just a hologram to fool the press and the on lookers.

Would this be the same sanctity, that allows you to travel to Vegas Queue for Half an hour or so to get a license, then get married by an Elvis impersonator in double quick time. Luckily you can get a super quicky divorce as well.
If you get married by a Gay Elvis (or priest/vicar Religious personage) does that also effect the Sanctity, would that also mean that dependant on the higher Legal or Religious Rank of the officiator the more Sacred the marriage is.
If a couple from countries that already allow same sex weddings, travel to a country where it is forbidden, and an accident occurs that requires a next of kin agreement for a procedure, would the non recognition of the marriage exclude the legal partner?

I voted yes, because Marriage in my view is a legal definition and agreement (and disagreement) between 2 people, regardless of Sex or Orientation,
I also noticed that Marriage term has been changed in ceremonies and Registration offices to civil partnerships for in relation to same sex couples, probably just to get around the law, and partly because of religious indignation to the use of the term marriage.
You can I believe register a civil partnership for a traditional couple as well, but through bitter experience (loss of all my stuff including the cat) I think I will settle for just a mutual co-habitation arrangement with my next Pixie instead.

Well at least some of the Rugby predictions came True Argentina Provided an upset, and England played no where near as well as could be expected,
The French playing well was a bit of a none starter, looks like it will be the All Blacks FTW.
As for end of the world, I reckon the earth will cease to exist the same time the suns fusion reactants drop into heavier elements and the chromosphere starts to expand, and either through Heat or through modified Gravity fields the Earth becomes just so much more reactant.
I also predict I will start a job on the 15-10-2007 @ 0830 working for a branch of central government.

Thats because all the calenders where screwed up when the Freemasons doctored the Calender to confuse predictophiles, and discredit those attuned to the cosmic flux.

The Blues have more than a little splaining to do. they got complete bounced, and quite a little out classed All of the Northern hemisphere teams seemed to be a little lacklustre, oh well looks like it might be a colony dominated event after all
