Asking if Jack White can be mistaken about anything is like asking if diving into a pool will get you wet. Cz Depends on what's in the pool. Filled with sand?

I think if you wrote this guy into a movie script the director would ask you to tone it down because no one is that dumb in real life... You mean the producer.

My point, well made. Film makers should be responsible - thank you for this post. Which means not bothering to present "both sides" when there's only one. A good documentary about Apollo talks about Apollo. It doesn't waste its time debunking that idiot Jack White. Incidentally, I watched a documentary about the Zapruder film the other day that didn't seem to take a side. It was basically, "Look. Here's the film. Here's how we scanned it to get a better picture. Here's the picture over and over again." Thank you for the post. Well done. I'll explain a bit my thought process on this subject. The Apollo missions are history. To do a documentary on the missions would only show one side, of course, because it is HISTORY. Now let's that break that down to the "debunk." Please, I am going to ramble a bit, but follow this logic: When I was a teenager I had a class assignment to turn in. It was assigned that I would write about George Washington. Okay, we all know about the HISTORY of GW. So I asked my father about this assignment. Luckily for me he had book that was published, in about 1810 as I recall, about the life of GW. I read that book. One of the claims of the Author was that GW only became President because he was the leader of the Army and he sent that Army to Phily when these meetings were taking place about who would govern the USA. Basically, the Author claimed that GW said that he was going to be President or the Army would be sent in and he forcefully take over. Shocking. Who knew? Is this true? Okay, this is a conspiracy for sure. Flash forward to today. I want to make a documentary about this subject matter. Never heard of before. I have never found another source reference that states this to this day. As a film maker, I would have to show the following: Washington as history knows him and Washington as I believe he is. Present evidence pro and con to this fact. Show the audience that my facts make sense and back it up. Let the audience know that GW was not the man everyone thought he was. Present it carefully and get a reaction out of them, but show them both sides of the tale and let them decide for themselves. In reality, I am not saying that I believe this Author. But was written in 1810 or there abouts. But I would have to prove that history is false by being a responsible film maker and show the "truth" as the public knows it, and then "debunking" the the facts of the truth. The CT's do not this. Anywhere. They only point out what they deem is obvious. Not the counter-point argument, they don't "de-bunk" anything. I have been on these websites and studied their material. None of them do it. Not a single one of them. That is what I mean and I hope you all understand this. By the way, I read the Apollo 11 transcripts, no way, in my opinion, could this have faked. I'm now reading the Apollo 7 transcripts - - very entertaining. Now, there's a story.

JayUtah: Great points.
But, lets discuss how this would have been "pulled off" on film. nobody is doing that. So tell me, Mr. Expert, just exactly how was this done? How? Really? Have you researched the the how this might have been possible? No? Are you an expert in cinematography? I'd like to to hear how you think that was possible back then, without facts, and I'll address them. And please do not show me some Charlie Chaplin videos or I will not answer you.

Read the transcripts of the Apollo mission. Not the ones between NASA and ground control, but rather the ones between the Astronauts themselves. Harried to say the least. Not acting. Really scared and relived when it was over. Like you would be on a mission like this.

Okay, everybody, calm down! This feat to duplicate on film is incredibly difficult. Perhaps not so much today, given Motion Capture systems, but remember when this film was made. Not possible then. Technology did not exist back then. I challenge anyone to tell me it did, and I will take it up with them. You are getting into my expertise now.

You know, we've dealt with these people a long time. Ignorance only holds up as an explanation for so long. You think no one's told Jarrah White (no, he doesn't have interesting facts; that requires having facts) that he's wrong? He gets told all the time. However, we're all paid NASA disinformation agents (really; we do get accused of that), so we're just perpetrating the lie. And the HB's arguments are entirely in the negative, they pick at oddities in the photgraphs to prove they were faked, they don't offer evidence of where or when they were faked. They say moon rocks were 'made in ovens' but they never publish a schematic of those ovens, or even a description of the process. They sneer about 'film sets' but how many of them are out scouring Nevada for some piece of left behind detritus. If they believe what they are saying then the HB's are incredibly lazy, if they don't, well you know what that makes them... My point, well made. Film makers should be responsible - thank you for this post.

How can a footprint be left when the actual object still rests in place? If you move the object then you will see its footprint. What? Really? No way?

nothing is blatantly obvious or there would be no conspiracies. This does not follow. Conspiracy theories do not have to be based on anything rational and the proponents of them are very good at denying the blatantly obvious. I don't agree, sorry. I find the CT's to be based on and perpetuated on ignorance. There is nothing blatantly obvious about man going to the moon, when you stare at the rear of the coin. And these peeps feed on it. Look at these actually proposed theories: How can you not admit that even JW has interesting facts. Hey, the guy did some research and that it was people feed off of - how it is presented! One percent fact mixed with 99 percent misinformation. That is not film making.

Thanks Bob B.
But I think if making a film maker thread on these boards is reasonable, then it should stick to the questions about the Apollo. Making a film in 1969... to that end. Not about film making in general. There are other places to do that, I am not here on this board for that reason. I am here about the conspiracy dudes... well, you've read the posts.
But thank you again! You people here are super cool!

Reasonably stated. But I am a film maker. And if you look at any great film, it always shows both sides of the coin. Please let us not talk about the Holocaust, but, in most films on the subject manner it does depict the NAZI's beliefs. Without it, you would not have a film.
To respond to the second part of your statement, nothing is blatantly obvious or there would be no conspiracies.
All I am saying is that to be a responsible film maker you must show both sides. Sure, many have done and made millions, Michael Moore is the most successful at it. In my opinion, it does not make it right.
One more thing - we are not on this forum to debate film making. This is a forum about going to the moon. Please keep that in mind. Thank you.
If you want to talk about film making, then hit me with a private message. I'd love to talk about it.
