and just how precisely are these small cubes manufactured? What are the tolerances? Could anything that small return a signal along a line a quarter of a million miles long - half a million round trip? The tiniest error and the reflection would arrive in the next state. Well I tried a simple google search on that. The results? By result 3 i had: A full optical explanation of the operation of corner cube reflectors. Even a list of their applications on earth. Why could you not do this basic research? ETA: And I shortly had tolerance values, effective angles, and all manner of other data. Do you have an objection to google?

I love the "it was shot in a vacuum but the flag moved due to air movement" one. Its one of my favourites. Possibly a candidate for the HB contradictions thread, if its not already there.

Umm...if the moon hoax was filmed in an unfeasibly large vacuum chamber, what happens to the "A15 flag waving because the astronaut caused a draft" claim? ETA: You cannot have it both ways without jumping through some very strange mental hoops. Oh, an easy one! The AC unit on his suit (that couldn't possibly work in a vacuum, which is one of the reasons why they didn't go in the first place) was obviously leaking a jet of compressed air. Ah but that could also occur on the moon in a vacuum.

Rodin, I think it's telling that, regardless of the construction date for the SPF vacuum chamber, you haven't quite gotten a hold of the idea that it is still whole orders of magnitude too small to encompass even the A11 lunar excursions (with ancillary bits and bobs like a sound-stage and a film crew), never mind any of the other five landings. I mean, it would make a pretty good airlock for a sound-stage that was big enough, but that would also require it to have a door that big on the other side too. Umm...if the moon hoax was filmed in an unfeasibly large vacuum chamber, what happens to the "A15 flag waving because the astronaut caused a draft" claim? Oh, and Rodin? Bandwidth is something which obviously escapes your cranium also.

Maybe I'm wrong, but it still sends the B&W field, doesn't it? So it's B&W,R,B,G. What the footage LOOKS like is BnW predominantly with a bit of colour mixed in. It looks NOTHING like an RGB composite - especially if the composite comprises 3 separate colour fields all out of phase by 120 degrees (if you like my metaphor) Clearly, you have no idea how various TV standards actually work.

As usual, I find myself eagerly awaiting the HB's bulletproof evidence.
Where is it?

I would bet when Jay consulted on their Moon hoax episode, JW came up for discussion. No. No individual conspiracy authors were discussed. That surprises me given the diverse and mutually exclusive variations of the hoax theories in circulation. ETA: On second thoughts, I retract that. There would not be time enough in a 1 hour slot to cover it all.

I imagine some of you are friends with Phil Plait and Pamela Gay. Both are friends of Adam Savage. I have Pam as a Friend on Facebook but considering she has over 3,000 friends listed, the chances of her getting any message from me are slim to none. Point is... if any of you are friends with them, maybe you should warn them that Jarrah is on the prowl. Maybe point them to some of his YouTube videos so they know what an incompetent fool they are dealing with and will also know what he looks like. Just a thought. I would bet when Jay consulted on their Moon hoax episode, JW came up for discussion. Still can't hurt to send a heads up tho.

I have never had that request addressed at all, and certainly not by jarrah, who has an unhealthy obsession with jay to the exclusion of all others, it seems. Second the motion there. It is almost as if he believes that if he defeats Jay on a personal level, it will somehow add weight to his arguments. edit for spelling, darned laptop.

Ya know, I always thought that had sufficient ambiguity to be conveniently ignored by the HB crowd

Leaving aside my doubt that Moonman was a lawyer (and what grownup describes themselves as "42 and 3/4"?), the fact is, he came in guns a-blazing with the idea that we definitely didn't land on the Moon. That is not the attitude to take toward education. And the fact that we were able (I say "we") to answer any question he put forward should have indicated something to him. It was also impossible to cram certain concepts into his head, ones a child could understand. 42 and 3/4? For real? You so gotta give me a link for that, thats unbelievable.

What a rollercoaster. After 51 pages, I am still left with the odd feeling that ultima1 continues to believe we are all Apollo hoax believers. Based on his resume I don't think ultima1's actions were based on a misunderstanding...he would have fought with folks here no matter what was posted. One of the unintended benefits of his behavior is that any potential lurker should have no problem knowing exactly where we (this board and reality) stand regarding the imaging of the lunar surface with respect to the Apollo missions. He is still on the DI forum fighting the pro apollo position.(not a member there), and continues to advocate the reality of Apollo, while still fighting with one of the most trenchant apollo suporters on that site.
