#34 is a good one. It was rather unlikely that 2006 would be the first year in history in which nobody famous died. . .

I concede that the timing was wrong. The Chinese are still underground and waiting...
Perhaps it's time to close this thread and create a predictions for 2007 thread...or should we just rename this one? ;D

So if I make the prediction that tomorrow a space alien will eat your head but no alien actually shows up and eats your head tomorrow you will still accept my prediction as perfectly valid when I say "oh, the alien is going to eat your head - I just had the day wrong."

The Chinese are still underground and waiting... As are we. Well, waiting, that is, not underground. Or perhaps some of us are underground, I wouldn't really know. . .

Ok, ok, you've been lucky so far, Rusty... turns out those radioactive hamsters from a planet near Mars had some mechanical troubles on their way to your house. But tomorrow, no question, they will be showing up to abduct you, just as I have predicted they will... then you'll see.

I concede that the timing was wrong.
Before the board crash a while back, you said that if if didn't happen by the end of the year, you'd admit the prediction was wrong. That year was 2005, but we allowed 2006 because of the loss of the old thread when the board crashed.
2006 is over. The prediction is wrong. Not just the timing. Why can't you live up to your own promise?
The Chinese are still underground and waiting...
No, they are not. There are no Chinese troops under New York City. It's a ludicrous fantasy. Why can't you admit it?
