"Cheer up!" they said, "It could be worse!" So I did, and it was.

I think you mean moral rectitude: turpitude he has in spades... ;D

As usual, he displays a distinct lack of moral turpitude: Not just that, there is a distinct lack of something else... IMHO what Jack needs is a Twitter account, his "write-only" style would be far better for it.

So they are lying, then.
Wait, what?

I've debated HBs that actually seem to be fairly intelligent, but the one consistent thing I see is that they are poorly educated, at least in the fields relating to Apollo. They commonly think they can take what knowledge they do have and extrapolate it into areas where they lack proper training. They are generally too stubborn to admit their ignorance when the extrapolation inevitably fails. That seems to be when the denial kicks in. Bingo. I've noticed exactly the same thing. They fill in this gap with a nearly complete reliance on what they call "common sense": a body of observations derived from everyday living on the surface of the earth. They don't give even a moment's thought to whether these experiences are valid in totally alien environments. A classic example is the "no stars" complaint. In their earth-bound experience, when the sky is black, stars are almost always visible. If the moon's sky is black, then stars should also be visible. Never mind the fact that when the earth's sky is black, the sun is invariably below the horizon, not above it...

Oh it is someone else but I am going to read the post proper but the Moon landings were a propoganda thing in reality. I'm sure part of the government's motivation behind the funding of the Apollo/Gemini projects was to show the world that the US was the best country in the world, but NASA's reasons were mostly scientific.

I'm sure the primary purpose behind the moon landings was indeed to prove US superiority over the Soviet Union. So?

Oh it is someone else but I am going to read the post proper but the Moon landings were a propoganda thing in reality. You're right, the Apollo mission was undertaken as a propaganda move against the Russians. So what? It succeeded.
