Whilst wasting time at work I can across "Orbiter - A free space flight simulator" which to quote from the home page: ORBITER is a free flight simulator that goes beyond the confines of Earth's atmosphere. Launch the Space Shuttle from Kennedy Space Center to deploy a satellite, rendezvous with the International Space Station or take the futuristic Delta-glider for a tour through the solar system - the choice is yours. It's absolutely brilliant, and the nearest I'll ever get to a space shuttle. You can find it here: orbit.medphys.ucl.ac.uk/

I'm rather embarassed by this. That'll teach me not to try and conduct a conversation with Mrs Supermeerkat and simultaneously post on the internet.......

I also had never realized that quoting those who oppose you in a shrill, singsongy, mocking voice was a key aspect of logical argument. Don't forget quoting from anonymous sources and refusing to provide any citations!

Officials are hurriedly looking for ways to save fuel on NASA's $79 million lunar impactor mission after a crisis Saturday caused the spacecraft to burn more than half of its remaining propellant. spaceflightnow.com/lcross/090825fuel/I can imagine their rantings now: Proof the landings were fake! They destroyed the only thing that could prove it was a hoax!

Hi Guys I've become increasingly fascinated with the Apollo program in recent months and I've been reading this site for several weeks, just signed up today. The thing that fascinates me the most about the whole Apollo program, apart from the awesome technological accomplishments and the sheer excitement of it, are the hoaxers: I have never come across such a blatant disregard for logic, common sense or reason and I find this to be as interesting as the reality of Apollo. Whilst searching for information on Apollo I came across two examples of jaw dropping nonsense, which I'd like to share: www.aulis.com/moonshadows.htm This article starts with the disclaimer How can you take that seriously? www.ufos-aliens.co.uk/cosmicapollo.html One of the proofs of hoax is stated as: In the case of the second example, I had the sneaking suspicion it might be a parody, but as I read more on the hoax in general I suspect it isn't. Actually, the positive thing to come out of this is that I've been able to convince my girlfriend that the landings did happen (she was a vehement pro-hoaxer). After reading up on the subject I was easily able to counter her half dozen reasons for not believing (the usual flag fluttering, no stars etc). However, I still can't persuade her to watch "From the Earth to the Moon" with me, though....
